Biography

Registered adult nurse since 1982 with experience in NHS (acute and primary care) and the commercial healthcare sector. Currently working as Clinical Director for Farla Medical International.
Has extensive skills in Tissue Viability and Management with 12 years working in ITU enhancing the ability to holistically assess patients across all specialities.
Active within Tissue Viability since 1993 as a lead Tissue Viability Nurse (TVN) then working for wound care/pressure prevention healthcare companies as a Clinical Manager. In depth knowledge of medical devices related to Tissue Viability, best practise within wound care and strategic NHS policies. Regularly works an Honorary Contract position at Manchester Royal Infirmary as part of the tissue viability team.
Knowledge and practise in clinical audit, writing for publication, route cause analysis, risk assessment, complaint management, compiling technical files, project management, manging a public clinical helpline, education/training and speaking publicly on national study events.
Works to a high standard with a patient centric focus.
