A Registered General Nurse (RGN) with thirty-nine years’ experience of working in a variety of healthcare settings. Has worked in elderly assessment and rehabilitation for fifteen years, including the development of a Stroke Rehabilitation Ward. Has also worked on a neurosciences unit for 15 years and has a wide experience of liaison with multi-disciplinary agencies to facilitate care delivery.

In addition, has extensive experience in assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Has implemented self-medication, collaborative care planning and had been involved in documentation design.
Diane currently works predominantly as a community nurse but does continue with hospital nursing as well. Her community work entails working autonomously and includes decision making, undertaking wound care, palliative care, CHC assessments, diabetic, taking blood and administering IV antibiotics.
Is fully conversant with the current Mental Capacity Act and the rules governing POVA.
Has been a nursing assessor for 26 years, currently mentoring and assessing pre and post registration learners.
